Discrete video capture card has become essential in various compact appliances catering to markets like lecture capture, distance learning, and medical settings. Datapath's VisionLC-HD2 offers a dual-channel, high-definition HDMI capture card designed for deployment in such environments. This card supports real-time processing, onboard color space conversion, and scaling, facilitating efficient video signal transfer for rendering or encoding. It natively accommodates multiple YUV and RGB formats, including 32, 24, 16, and 22 bit.
The VisionLC-HD2 finds application in various scenarios, such as medical environments, simulation systems, live events, PC/gaming console capture, lectures, presentations, and real-time streaming. Incorporating multiple cards allows for simultaneous capture from multiple channels. However, it's important to note that due to its LiveStream:Capture architecture, the VisionLC-HD2 is not compatible with wall controller applications dependent on Datapath's MultiStream technology.
In terms of video streaming, the VisionLC-HD2 employs the Microsoft AV stream model, permitting access and enumeration of inputs in any DirectShow or Media Foundation supported application. Additionally, a Video for Linux (V4L) driver package is accessible for download. Tested applications encompass Microsoft Media Encoder, VLC, Telestream WireCast, vMix, Opencast Matterhorn, VidBlaster, OBS Project, Adobe Flash Media Encoder, and Dataton Watchout.
