DIY — Huddle without the hassle

Professionally installed huddle space AV systems aren’t cheap — and for smaller companies the cost is often prohibitive. But if you can mount a TV on a wall, then you can install and set up the Roland XS-42H, giving you a huddle space that’ll make everyone’s lives easier. The XS-42H is small, light and easy to position, and the supplied mounting bracket means it can be located out of sight, but ready for action. You don’t even need to physically press the button to change input sources, as the XS-42H can be controlled from a web browser on your computer, tablet or smartphone.

No more ‘guess the input’

Even when successfully connected to a display, you may not see ‘your’ screen because the correct input isn’t selected. This triggers a cycle of chaos as you scramble for the right input settings, while everyone starts checking their smartphones. The XS-42H’s auto input detection solves this problem by automatically switching to a newly connected device, making the transition to a new presenter incredibly smooth while keeping everyone focused on the meeting.

Connect with confidence

The XS-42H can connect and display a reassuring variety of sources. It achieves this in two ways; EDID and scaling. EDID (or Extended Display Identification Data) tells your PC or tablet the correct resolution to output, so you don’t ever need to get involved. Scaling lets you connect, switch and display between a variety of different sources and resolutions – so no matter what’s going in, it’ll come out fine.

Replace blank screens with something special

When a computer is disconnected, the XS-42H can automatically return to a specified input instead of the typical black screen of a blank input. This lets you display a stored still image with your company’s logo, the name of the meeting room or a connected Apple TV or Chromecast screen saver. You can even provide a nice greeting for the participants before the meeting begins.

Connect to better speakers for superior sound

Although most TV LED and LCD panels look good, the sound is often an afterthought. The Roland XS-42H includes stereo RCA outputs for connection to external speakers or soundbars, for dramatically superior audio quality. The internal audio mixer of the XS-42H will switch the audio to match the video input, using the audio embedded in the computer’s HDMI signal — no extra audio cables required.

Get more done with two displays

Using two screens side by side lets you share more information and get more done. You can compare multiple documents, research the web while updating a proposal, or have a video conference on one screen with research material on the other. The XS-42H lets you do all this and more, with ten scenes that can be recalled to automatically switch both screens to the correct input sources, along with the correct audio.

High-end touchscreen operation, without the cost

High-end AV meeting room systems often include a touchscreen interface — usually with a high-end cost. The XS-42H lets you use any inexpensive tablet as a convenient touch controller, via the browser application. Once connected to your company network, simply connect to the XS-42H’s IP address and use the tablet to select presets, switch inputs and control the volume — all without having to leave your seat.

Keep the Huddle Space useable for every meeting

Setting a default input source leaves the meeting space set and ready to go before each meeting. Advanced menu functions can only be accessed on a secondary screen.

1. General about cookies

1.1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that most modern websites store on the devices of users, i.e. people who use their devices to access certain websites on the Internet. Their storage is under the full control of the user, as the browser used by the user can limit or disable the storage of cookies.

Even when you visit the website and its subpages, and when performing operations on the page, certain cookies are installed on your computer, phone or tablet automatically or with your express consent, through which various data can be recorded.

1.2. How do they work and why do we need them?

Each time a visitor or shopper starts using the online store, a cookie is assigned for identification and ensuring traceability (the so-called "cookie"). The servers provided by the subcontractor to the company automatically collect data on how visitors, traders or shoppers use the online store and store this data in the form of a usage log (the so-called "activity log"). The servers store information about the use of the online store, statistical data and IP numbers. Data on the use of the online store by shoppers can be used by the company for anonymous statistical processing that serves to improve the user experience and for marketing products and/or services via the online store.

Indirectly and upon obtaining consent, the online store can also store cookies from external services (e.g. Google Analytics) on the visitor's or shopper's device, which are used to collect data about website visits. Regarding external services, the regulations and general terms and conditions on the processing of personal data apply, which can be accessed at the links below.
