What is the difference between LCD and OLED displays?

LCD Display

An LCD display, or Liquid Crystal Display, creates various colors based on white light passing through color filters. When white light passes through, it generates primary colors like red, green and blue, with the speed of light passing through each pixel controlled to manage pixel color. On an LCD screen, it's very difficult to completely block white light and display true black; there will always be some light leakage, making it challenging to render true blacks, especially in dark scenes on most displays.

OLED Display

OLED stands for Organic Light-Emitting Diodes and each pixel in an OLED display emits its own light without the need for a separate backlight or color filter. Each OLED pixel can be assigned the colors red, green and blue and some manufacturers have added yellow, but the principle remains the same.

Due to the unique properties of OLED, there's no need to cover a light source like in LCD displays. Instead, OLED pixels can be turned off completely to produce true blacks. This allows OLED displays to achieve true blacks. OLED's black colors are very deep, contrast is exceptionally high and compared to elements like white, they can create stunning results.

1. General about cookies

1.1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that most modern websites store on the devices of users, i.e. people who use their devices to access certain websites on the Internet. Their storage is under the full control of the user, as the browser used by the user can limit or disable the storage of cookies.

Even when you visit the website and its subpages, and when performing operations on the page, certain cookies are installed on your computer, phone or tablet automatically or with your express consent, through which various data can be recorded.

1.2. How do they work and why do we need them?

Each time a visitor or shopper starts using the online store, a cookie is assigned for identification and ensuring traceability (the so-called "cookie"). The servers provided by the subcontractor to the company automatically collect data on how visitors, traders or shoppers use the online store and store this data in the form of a usage log (the so-called "activity log"). The servers store information about the use of the online store, statistical data and IP numbers. Data on the use of the online store by shoppers can be used by the company for anonymous statistical processing that serves to improve the user experience and for marketing products and/or services via the online store.

Indirectly and upon obtaining consent, the online store can also store cookies from external services (e.g. Google Analytics) on the visitor's or shopper's device, which are used to collect data about website visits. Regarding external services, the regulations and general terms and conditions on the processing of personal data apply, which can be accessed at the links below.

2. Permission to use cookies

If your settings in the browser with which you visit the website are such that they accept cookies, it means that you agree to their use. In case you do not want to use cookies on this website or to remove them, you can read the procedure for this below. However, removing or blocking cookies may result in suboptimal functioning of this website.

3. Mandatory and optional cookies and your consent

3.1. The company is not obliged to obtain your consent for the use of mandatory cookies (mandatory cookies):

Mandatory cookies are cookies that are absolutely necessary for the proper functioning of the website and without them the transmission of messages in the communication network would not be possible. These cookies are also necessary for us to be able to offer you the services available on our website. They enable logging into the user profile, choosing the language, agreeing to the terms and identifying the user's session.

3.2. Cookies that are not necessary for the normal operation of the website, and for which we are obliged to obtain your consent (optional cookies):
